Planner

The Role

• Expedite purchase orders prior to delivery to ensure that the parts are available to achieve the production plan.
• Proactively initiate actions to minimize shortages and prevent production delays.
• Instigate material deliveries by releasing calls/faxes against blanket supply orders in accordance with established MRP buy messages.
• Maintain MRP, taking into account demand levels and agreed supplier response times.
• Monitor and report poor supplier performance to PM and support the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist in clearing receiving and invoice discrepancies.
• Manage and control designated lineside stocks and floor stock to meet agreed levels of inventory and inventory record accuracy.
• Proactively participate and contribute to the company’s success by driving towards aggressive improvement targets whilst maintaining a zero rework policy and creating a customer focused culture based on the elimination of waste.
• Manage OOB and provide necessary OI report.
• Handle with Standard products production.
• Working with logistic department to handle with shippment.

What we expect of you?

• A minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably electro/mechanical assembly. A minimum of 2 years in a materials control function.
• Working knowledge of an MRP based manufacturing control system, ideally SAP.
• A good understanding of production planning and inventory management principles.
