Edwards and Chart sign carbon capture collaboration agreement for semiconductor market

Burgess Hill, UK and Atlanta, USA November 27, 2023 Edwards, a leading supplier of vacuum and abatement products, services and solutions for the global semiconductor industry, and Chart Industries, Inc. (NYSE:GTLS) (“Chart”), a leading global engineering design firm and manufacturer of highly engineered equipment servicing multiple applications in clean energy and industrial gas markets, executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) enabling the two companies to collaborate on carbon capture solutions for the semiconductor industry.
Edwards’ expertise and experience providing solutions in fab equipment including exhaust management equipment, and gas capture, purification and recycling solutions for semiconductor processes will be enhanced by the collaboration with Chart.
Chart’s expertise and ability to provide solutions in various liquefaction and/or refrigeration processes and equipment technologies, carbon capture process technologies (including their Sustainable Energy Solutions, Inc. Cryogenic Carbon Capture technology), carbon dioxide storage tanks, trailers, vaporizers and other associated equipment couples well with Edwards’ sub fab equipment and broad customer relationships in the global semiconductor industry.
