Edwards Returns to the SEMICON West Show Floor
GLOBAL | 6 November 2026 | 3 min
Each year, SEMICON West brings together thousands of semiconductor manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers, and industry leaders to explore the latest innovations shaping the future of chip manufacturing. As one of the semiconductor industry's premier trade shows, the event provides an opportunity to connect with customers, showcase new technologies, strengthen industry partnerships, and increase brand visibility.
After many years away from exhibiting on the show floor, Edwards returned to SEMICON West 2026 with a bold new presence and a clear objective: demonstrate Edwards as a leader in semiconductor vacuum and abatement while increasing awareness of the breadth of solutions and expertise available across our business.
Located prominently in the South Hall of San Francisco's Moscone Center, the new booth was designed to create a strong visual impact, attract customer engagement, and reinforce key brand messages around product innovation, premium quality, and support for semiconductor manufacturing.
Showcasing innovation across the portfolio
Featured products included:
- Ganymede, Edwards' next-generation semiconductor dry pump, positioned front and centre within the booth.
- STP-iXA 3K Turbomolecular Pump, highlighting high-throughput performance and energy efficiency.
- On-Board IS-320F XVS Cryopump, showcasing industry-leading hydrogen pumping performance and reliability.
- ELD4000 Helium Leak Detector, featuring live demonstrations throughout the event.
- Liner Pro, Swept Inlet Head, Rotor Cup Cover service upgrades, gauges.
The booth also highlighted Edwards' "Made in the USA" message, featuring information about the new Genesee County manufacturing facility in Western New York, which will support production of key semiconductor products including iXL, iXM, and future Ganymede manufacturing.
One of the most popular features of the booth was the live helium leak detector demonstration, featuring the ELD4000, gauges, and a vacuum chamber.
Creating spaces for meaningful customer conversations
To thank our customers for their continued partnership, Edwards hosted the Twilight Soirée, an exclusive customer appreciation event at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The evening provided guests with a unique opportunity to network, connect with Edwards leaders and subject matter experts, and enjoy one of San Francisco's most iconic cultural venues.
Recognition and awards
Derek Willson, Development Engineer at PC Haverhill, was a SEMICON West 20 Under 30 Recipient. This award recognizes future leaders who have demonstrated success in their careers in the semiconductor industry. Derek was recognized for his demonstrated leadership and achievements in innovation, collaboration, community engagement, and outstanding performance.
Edwards' new dry pump, Ganymede, was nominated as one of three finalists for the Best of West award. Presented by SEMI Americas and Semiconductor Digest each year, the Best of West award recognizes innovative new products or services that are significantly advancing the electronics manufacturing supply chain or a particular manufacturing capability.
Looking ahead to Phoenix
Planning is already underway for SEMICON West 2027, which will be held at the end of March in Phoenix, Arizona.
Building on the success of this year's event, Edwards plans to continue its presence with a booth focused on our vacuum, abatement, service, and semiconductor solutions, and beyond. A new addition will be a separate Atlas Copco Group booth showcasing complementary brands and technologies.
