About Our New Onsite Training Program

Edwards Vacuum is proud to introduce our Onsite Vacuum Training Program. We understand the significance of custom training corriculum to meet your business needs and have designed this program to provide you with the convenience and flexibility to do just that.

Features

Build Your Own Training: Whether you prefer a 1-day intensive course or spread out over multiple days, we cater to your schedule.

Unlimited Attendees: Bring as many participants as your conference room can accommodate. 

Please Note: For a better hands-on experience, we recommend no more than a group of 10. However, we can accomodate larger groups.

Expert Instruction: Our experienced and highly skilled trainer, Matt Frimel and other subject matter experts, will lead the sessions. Having experts like Matt ensures that you get accurate information and hands-on experience from one of the best in the industry.

Hands-on Demonstrations: If there’s a specific demonstration you’d like, just provide the necessary materials, and we’ll take care of the rest (costs covered by the attendee).

 

Training pricing

The training program is priced at: $2,296 for every 8-hour day

Please note, for sessions less than a full day (e.g., half-day sessions), the charge will still be the full-day rate.

5 hours Scientific Vacuum Pumps: Scroll, Rotary Vanes, Turbo, Diaphram, Mulit-Stage Roots
4 hours each / 8 hours total Industrial & Chemical Pumps Part 1 & 2: Large Vanes, Piston, Rotary Screw, Dry Claw, Boosters
2.5 hours Vacuum Hardware & Valves: Flanges, Fittings, Couplings
4 hours Vacuum Measurement: Gauges, Displays, and Controllers
4 hours Good Vacuum Practices
4.5 hours Capture Pumps: Cryo, Ion, TS Pumps, Getter Pumps 
4 hours Leak Detection: How to leak test your systems, utilizing your own applications

 

Sample Training Schedule

TRAINING DAY 1: 

  • 8AM - 12PM    Intro to Vacuum (4 hr)
  • 12PM - 1PM    - Lunch - (1 hr)
  • 1PM - 3:30PM    Vacuum Hardware & Valves (2.5 hrs)

TRAINING DAY 2: 

  • 8AM - 12PM    Vacuum Measurement (4 hrs)
  • 12PM - 1PM    - Lunch - (1 hr)
  • 1PM - 5PM    Leak Detection (4 hrs)

Meet Your Instructor

Matt brings a wealth of experience with 14 years in the vacuum pump industry and expertise in Leak Detection, covering a diverse range of industries and process applications. He has worked extensively on a wide variety of pump brands, managed leak detection for items from small components to large systems, and even handled equipment used in toxic and corrosive environments, showcasing his adaptability and precision. His work in chemical, aerospace, and space exploration highlight his ability to tackle complex and innovative challenges. In his practical, hands-on training sessions, Matt focuses on leak detection methods, equipment preparation, and demonstrates leak detection in both vacuum and sniff modes, connecting lessons to real-world applications. He designs his training to be immersive, ensuring participants understand the theoretical aspects while gaining practical experience. Matt’s teaching style is a blend of experience, innovation, and a dedication to making complex concepts accessible to all.
