Advancing Sustainable High-Tech Vacuum Pump Manufacturing

The new dry pump manufacturing facility is set to be operational in 2026, featuring state-of-the-art manufacturing and measurement equipment. Initially, the facility will create around 280 jobs, providing a significant boost to the local economy. This will support the semiconductor industry by supplying essential components and services, fostering innovation and growth in this critical sector.

What is the status of Edwards Genesee’s construction project?

Work at the site is currently underway, with the construction team making initial progress towards our vision. The area has been cleared and leveled, and work has commenced on waste disposal and the metal structure. This marks the beginning of a transformative project that will have a lasting impact on the community and industry.

    Environmental responsibility during construction...

A major focus of the project is environmental sustainability. Edwards Genesee will be housed in a LEED-certified green building, fully electric with most of its power sourced from hydroelectricity. The facility is also projected to significantly reduce CO2 emissions from freight, saving an estimated 13,000 tons per year when operating at a capacity of 10,000 pumps. This commitment to sustainability underscores our dedication to reducing our environmental footprint...

... and sustainable operations for the future

By supporting the local semiconductor industry, the facility will play a crucial role in advancing technological capabilities and ensuring a steady supply of high-quality dry pumps. This will not only enhance production efficiency but also contribute to the overall growth and competitiveness of the semiconductor sector.

Edwards Genesee represents a significant investment in both the local economy and the environment. With its cutting-edge technology, job creation, and sustainable practices, it is poised to make a substantial positive impact on the community and the semiconductor industry.
