Your role

The Service Manager is responsible for:

  • To provide a single responsibility and accountability for all activities within a service center.
  • To manage all activities of Operations, including planning and scheduling, quality, customer satisfaction and personnel.
  • To manage the Operations areas to meet or exceed established budgetary targets while ensuring adherence to all applicable company policies and procedures.
  • To ensure the area for which the Cell Manager is responsible operates to all the known and future requirements of ISO 9001, ISRS, Edwards site licensing and all local, national, federal and/or company standards of Safety and environmental loss.

Main Responsibilities

•    Directs and manages 5 to 10 technicians
•    DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Team Leaders, Cell Leader/Site Safety Officer, Cell Planner(s), Cell Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer(s)
•    MAINTAINS CONSISTENT INTERFACE WITH: Sales Personnel, Q.A. Personnel, Product Development/Marketing, Stores Supervisor, Marketing Personnel
•    Ensures labor standards are maintained without excess cost or degradation in Quality

•    Successful development and execution of production plans meeting the goals of the business.
•    Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
•    Creates and ensure compliance with department specific safety procedures, rules, and objectives.  Incorporates employees’ safety-related responsibilities into their job descriptions and evaluates performance against their objectives
•    Directly responsible for the achievement of production goals such as turn times, on time delivery, job cost standards and agreed operational budgets.
•    Make recommendations on direct and indirect labor requirements and capital expenditure.
•    Participates in the budget planning process to meet the business objectives.
•    Ensures that appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is acquired for operations performed within the Department and conducts regular checks to ensure it is maintained in serviceable condition.
•    Respectfully takes direction from IVS Director
•    Other duties as assigned
