Before you begin:
Before you start maintenance on your vacuum pump, turn it off for at least one hour. This ensures that the pump has time to cool and is safe to handle during maintenance.

Part one: Disassembly-How to remove the oil and filter on an oil sealed rotary pump
- Begin by removing the oil filter plug and the oil drain plug.
- Now drain the oil from the vacuum pump.
- The oil filter can now be removed using a strap wrench. When completed, pour the oil from the oil filter into the oil collection tray.
- Next, unscrew the bolts using a 17mm spanner to remove the exhaust flange.
- The filter should now be removed, to do this, gently move it upwards and downwards to unlock it.
- Finally, the remaining oil can be sucked out of the pump with a syringe.
Part two: Assembly-How to install the oil and filter exchange on a rotary vacuum pump
- Begin by applying vacuum grease to the filter.
- Now insert the filter.
- Next, lubricate the O-ring with vacuum grease.
- The exhaust flange can now be assembled. Make sure to tighten the bolts with a spanner to secure the exhaust flange.
- Now apply oil to the oil filter and fit it back into place.
- Apply vacuum grease to the O-ring and fit the oil drain plug back onto the pump using an allen key to tighten.
- Next, oil can be refilled into the pump. Approximately 7 to 7.5L are needed for the vacuum pump.
- Lastly, put the oil filter plug back into place.
You have now successfully exchanged the oil and filter on your nES200 vacuum pump. Remember to follow your local regulations when disposing of old, broken, or unwanted materials and to store your supplies in a safe place, ready for the next vacuum pump service.
