CRAWLEY, WEST SUSSEX, UK. (12 June, 2015) — Edwards is highlighting the reliability of their dry vacuum pumps at Achema, Germany, 15 – 19 June, and emphasising their expertise at providing an individually designed vacuum solution for their customers.
Achema is an international show for chemical engineering and the process industry which takes place every three years. This year on Edwards’ stand there will be several running dry vacuum pumps, a CXS, a GXS and an nXDS. There will also be service demonstrations on nXDS, turbopumps and rotary vane pumps on the stand. Experts from Edwards will be available to discuss any questions about vacuum, from the optimum vacuum technology for their application to the flexible service solutions available.

The CXS delivers exceptional vacuum performance and reliability in chemical and pharmaceutical processes, enabling users to benefit from the lowest chemical dry pump cost of ownership and environmental impact. Chemical industries globally increasingly demand ever more reliable, flexible and available on demand vacuum in ‘plug and pump’ systems. The CXS has been designed to address these requirements, being simple to install and use with up to five years between services.
Also on the stand will be a running GXS. The GXS range, with its innovative screw technology, enables users to maximise their productivity and performance with a low cost of ownership and small carbon footprint on non-flammable applications. The GXS provides robust and reliable operation even in harsh applications, and its long service intervals (up to 5 years) mean minimal maintenance is required.
The nXDS dry scroll pump is suitable for use on vapour handling processes even with corrosives and particulates, and so is ideal for use in chemical and pharmaceutical laboratories. The advanced scroll form and quiet operation of the nXDS, together with intelligent, easy to use controls, deliver best-in-class performance.
