Edwards ERV 16 vacuum pump

On this page, we will walk you through changing the oil and filter on an Edwards ERV 16 single-stage, oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pump. You will learn how to drain the oil, clean the oil tank, disassemble the stator, clean the stator, remove the inlet filter and the exhaust filter, and reassemble the machine. 

Before you begin service

1. Make sure to follow all safety regulations for this minor maintenance.

2. Disconnect from power and let the vacuum pump sit for at least 1 hour. This enables the pump to cool to a safe temperature for service.
