Tactical Buyer

As a Supply Chain Professional, you will be at the forefront of optimizing our organization's procurement, supply, and logistics operations. Your mission is to drive efficiency and innovation by managing the end-to-end supply chain process, from sourcing materials to delivering finished goods to our customers. You will play a critical role in ensuring our supply chain operations are not only efficient but also resilient and sustainable. You will

  • Handle procurement activities for timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials. 
  • Oversee demand, inventory, and production planning to achieve targeted quality, wastage, and inventory levels. 
  • Coordinate warehousing, distribution, and transportation to ensure efficient movement and storage of goods. 
  • Manage international trade, including import/export and customs management.
  • Provide freight forwarding services to support the seamless movement of goods across borders.
To succeed, you will need

  • Minimum 7 years procurement experience preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • 2 years experience in category management or strategic sourcing
  • Track record improving supply chains and supplier performance including new supplier search, selection and integration
  • Track record managing large scale supply chain transfer or new product introduction projects
  • Proven experience negotiating sourcing and supply contracts
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization, both internally and with suppliers
  • Degree in engineering or business management, ideally with professional procurement qualification
  • Line management or supervisory experience useful but not essential
  • Willingness to travel as when the business conditions and strategies required
